Dr. James R. Bitter is Professor of Counseling at East Tennessee State university in Johnson City, TN. He is a former Vice President and Delegate to the General Assembly of the North American society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP). He worked with the late pioneer of family therapy, Virginia Satir, for the last ten years of her life, and more recently, he has studied with the master Gestalt therapists, Erv and Miriam Polster.
